Honolulu Remembers - Never Forget 9-11

Mayor Mufi Hannemann is inviting the government officials and the public to join in the "Honolulu Remembers … Never Forget" candlelight march in memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. This is the event that honors police, fire, emergency medical personnel and members of the armed forces who performed heroically on that fateful day five years ago.

The march will start at the steps of the Honolulu Police Department headquarters on South Beretania Street on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. A brief ceremony will be held after which the walk to the Honolulu Fire Department headquarters on South & Queen Streets will commence, and proceed on to the Federal Building at the makai end of Punchbowl Street. After that the march will proceed back up Punchbowl Street and end at Honolulu Hale near the eternal flame for the conclusion of the observance. Parking will be available at the municipal lot on Alapai Street.
